I wrote this poem long way back when Mother Teresa left for her heavenly abode.
Farewell to Mother
The birds sang early in that morning
Making the hearts of millions moaning
The flower of kindness is no more now
To pour the fragrance of human love
Mother Teresa!, Oh holy one,
You left us all and went alone
Your death, for us, is such a loss
And may you be in heaven as rose
A dew drop was you for the poor
Consoling them to help them cure
You lighted the lamp of kindness with ease
As if you were a goddess of peace
No one here to love us anew
Oh! Mother of world, farewell to you.
